Our Holistic Retreat
At Optimum Health Institute (OHI), we offer a variety of classes designed to promote holistic wellness and personal transformation. Each class is thoughtfully crafted to address different aspects of health, ensuring a comprehensive approach to well-being.
Physical health
Our detox classes are designed to help you cleanse your body and mind by removing toxins that can hinder your overall health. Our retreat focuses on natural detoxification processes to rejuvenate your body from the inside out. At OHI, we understand that detoxification is more than just a physical cleanse; it is also an opportunity to clear mental and emotional clutter.
During the retreat, you will engage in a variety of activities and practices aimed at supporting your body’s natural detoxification systems. Our program includes a carefully designed detox diet, rich in raw, organic foods that provide essential nutrients while aiding in the elimination of toxins. You will also learn about the benefits of juicing, fasting, and incorporating superfoods into your diet.
Physical detoxification is complemented by mental and emotional cleansing activities. We offer meditation sessions, mindfulness practices, and emotional release workshops to help you let go of negative thoughts and feelings. Our holistic approach ensures that you leave the retreat feeling lighter, more energized, and with a renewed sense of clarity and purpose.
Mental Health
Maintaining mental health is crucial for overall well-being, and our mental health classes are designed to support you in achieving mental balance and emotional resilience. At OHI, we recognize the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, and our retreat addresses each of these components to ensure they work harmoniously together.
Our retreat provides a range of therapies and practices designed to enhance your mental well-being. You will participate in guided meditation and mindfulness exercises that help reduce stress and improve focus. Our workshops on cognitive behavioral techniques teach you how to reframe negative thoughts and develop a positive mindset.
Emotional detoxification is a key aspect of this retreat. We offer sessions that help you understand and process your emotions, emphasizing the healing power of forgiveness and acceptance. Through these practices, you will learn to build emotional resilience and develop healthy coping mechanisms for life’s challenges.
In addition to mental and emotional support, the retreat also includes physical activities such as yoga and gentle exercise, which are known to boost mental health. Our holistic approach ensures that you leave the retreat with practical tools and strategies to maintain mental wellness in your daily life.
Spiritual Health
We recognize that the mind, body, and spirit work together as one. Neglecting the health of your spirit can be detrimental to the health of your body and mind. Our retreat also includes activities and classes to boost your spiritual health. Our spiritual classes focus on prayer, gratitude, and meditation.
OHI is a healing ministry of The Free Sacred Trinity Church (FSTC). FSTC is a non-denominational Christian church, but you don’t have to be Christian to join our program. We focus on spirituality rather than religion, so you can work on healing your spirit regardless of your religious background.
At Optimum Health Institute, our retreats are designed to provide holistic healing and personal transformation. Whether you are looking to detoxify your body, improve your mental health, or boost your spirituality, our retreats offer the guidance, support, and resources you need to succeed. Join us at our serene location in San Diego and embark on a journey towards optimal health and well-being.

What Guests Are Saying
I have been coming to OHI regularly for over 35 years, and highly recommend the program here. I credit the diet and classes with helping me maintain good health and proper weight all that time. I just feel so much younger than my actual age of 77.

Optimum Health San Diego was an amazing experience, you have to go to yourself to truly appreciate. A perfect environment to relax and allow your body to heal -mind, body, and soul. I would recommend this program to everyone in my life. You owe it to your body to go through a program like this at least once a year. Thank You OHI for an amazing experience, can't wait to come back.

“I’m passionate about people—and inspiring them to live life at the highest level. That’s why it’s such an honor to encourage and cheer our community members on as they navigate their healing journeys. I’ve also pursued my own healing journey through the years—and joining OHI finally sync’d what I knew instinctively and had learned over the years about the connection between body, mind and spirit. Its simple truths are profound!”

"I found a true calling working at OHI after an unfulfilling career in International Development and Public Health. When you change your diet, your mind, and align with spirit, transformation truly takes place. It is an honor to hold space for our guests who are courageous enough to do the work it takes to heal and become whole again. This is so much more than just a job; it is a life purpose."

"Life is happening in and around us and god is in everything, therefore healing potential is everywhere. Our awareness of this gets so obscured through our routines, distractions and stresses resulting in imbalance and dis-ease. But our bodies are marvelous machines that are constantly repairing themselves; and given an optimal environment, they do this with ease. OHI is a sacred place for people to reconnect to their awareness of the miracle of life through powerful food and faith; and healing is rapid. Working here and witnessing miraculous transformations day after day is medicine for me as well as for all the friends who come here and power up."

“Working at OHI has opened my eyes more to the wholeness of healing beyond just a clean diet. I have met some incredible people since working here and love knowing that all of our team’s efforts help heal our guests. Even after receiving my bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, I’ve gained so much knowledge here at OHI about how a raw diet heals the mind, body and spirit.”

"I feel honored to be a part of the OHI community…extending support and encouragement to our guests who begin to transform their health and well-being the moment they arrive here. So much of it has to do with the power of community. It’s true that we can do more than we think we can by doing it together. Fellow guests seem to bond quickly…encouraging and inspiring each other. This truly is a blessed place to work!"

"When I first started working at OHI, I didn't realize what I truly signed up for. It didn't take long for me to see the significant difference that OHI makes in peoples' lives. I see that now and want to be a part of it. The connection between the guests and the staff is like a family. I'm so blessed to be part of this wonderful atmosphere. To work here is very fulfilling and rewarding."
