It’s been another amazing year of healing, kindness and joy at OHI, and we want to thank each and every one of you for playing such a valuable role in our community and making 2016 such a magical year . It wasn’t the easiest year for everyone, but thanks to the loving spirit of the OHI community, we were able to do our part in bringing just a little more compassion and healing into the world.
And we have big plans for 2017! To build on our success in 2016, we’ve set our sights on some major upgrades to our facilities to help us keep our mission rolling on into the new year and beyond.
Being a faith-based organization, one of our primary goals is to make our program as accessible as possible to those in need of healing. OHI was designed as a place where everyone could come to cleanse, rejuvenate body, mind and spirit, and heal—regardless of their station in life. That’s why keeping our pricing as low as possible is so very important to us. To this end, we created the Facility Improvement Fund in order to raise the money required to make necessary updates and repairs without having to raise prices for our members.
We anticipate raising more than $1.2 million over the next three years. Our campuses in Austin and San Diego are going to see some welcome improvements in the months and years to come. From technology improvements in our classrooms, to new flooring, lighting and furnishings in our common areas, to fresh landscaping and upgrades to our guest rooms and bathrooms, you’re going to love what we’ve done with the place the next time you pay us a visit. And we are overjoyed to be able to provide these upgrades while still keeping prices low for our members.
Even with our sights set on facility improvements, what remains at the core of OHI is our mission to help others live their very best life, whether it be improving their physical health, finding and pursuing their purpose or drawing closer to their spiritual self. Our 40-year-old, tried and true program is what has allowed us to continue this mission. So while you may see some changes around campus during your next retreat at OHI San Diego or Austin, you can rest assured that you’ll always find a compassionate-healing community and a holistic program that will help change your life for the better.
