While traveling on vacation, don’t take a vacation from getting in your daily exercise.

Hotel Room Routines
Many hotels offer on-site gyms for guests. However, if yours does not, you can easily work out your entire body in your hotel room. Pack a few portable workout tools in your suitcases, such as a resistance band and jump rope. If you traveled by car, consider bringing your yoga mat as well. Jumping rope is an excellent aerobic exercise that can quickly elevate your heart rate for maximum cardiovascular benefits. Use your resistance band for strength training routines and unfurl your yoga mat to engage in some core work with stretching and Pilate’s exercises. Holistic health experts recommend doing stretching and or yoga poses while on vacation to calm your mind after the excitement of a full day.

Hiking Trip Exercises
Many people plan vacations to destinations that offer hiking trails and rock climbing. You can increase the physical challenges of the trail by incorporating some additional exercises along the way. Stop at various points to admire the view, run in place, and do push-ups or lunges. Remember to do plenty of stretching prior to setting out on the trail or scaling the mountainside.

Camping Ground Fitness
If you intend on spending your vacation in the great outdoors, bring along a mountain bike and enjoy the trails around the campground. Choosing a campground with a lake can offer even more ways to exercise, enjoy a brisk early morning swim or an invigorating afternoon canoe race around the lake.
