About Our Wellness Retreat
Since 1997, the Optimum Health Institute has welcomed individuals seeking holistic wellness and healing in a natural setting. Our Austin retreat spans 14 wooded acres, just 16 miles from downtown Austin and a quick 20-minute drive from the airport. At the heart of our retreat is a cozy, Hacienda-style main building with 18 restful guest rooms and inviting spaces like our Great Hall, where you’ll often find a warm fire in the stone fireplace and comfortable seating for gatherings and reflections.
During your stay, you’re invited to explore our beautiful gardens and walking trails. Vibrant flowers, peaceful pathways, and the quiet beauty of nature create a sanctuary for relaxation and introspection. Stroll through these spaces to find inner peace and rejuvenate in the tranquil Texas countryside.
Our on-campus Optimum Health Store offers wellness essentials, including inspirational books and self-care items. For quiet contemplation, visit our small, welcoming chapel. This sacred space provides a peaceful refuge for meditation or prayer, helping you find comfort and connection on your journey to wellness.
When you need a break, unwind by our pool or relax in the hot tub, perfect for easing tension and recharging your spirit. Every element of OHI Austin is designed to help you reconnect with yourself - fully supported by our team and tranquil surroundings.

Holistic Wellness Programs
The Optimum Health Institute offers a range of classes and activities to foster whole-body wellness. Our program at OHI Austin includes offerings that promote mental clarity, physical health, and spiritual balance, providing an environment that nurtures mind, body, and soul.
Physical Health
Our detox programs are central to the OHI experience because they support your body’s natural processes for clearing toxins. With a focus on holistic detox, we provide nutritional, emotional, and physical strategies that help you achieve a deeper level of well-being. Participants follow a carefully planned diet of nutrient-rich, plant-based foods to aid detoxification and rejuvenate the body.
In addition to nutrition, our program includes yoga, meditation, and gentle exercises that promote circulation and relaxation. Activities such as breathwork and mindfulness practices help calm the mind and lift the spirit, creating a well-rounded detox experience that leaves you feeling refreshed.
Mental Health
Our mental wellness sessions focus on supporting emotional resilience and mental clarity. Through guided meditations, mindfulness exercises, and workshops on positivity, participants develop skills to manage stress, enhance focus, and foster a healthy mindset.
Emotional support is also a central aspect of our mental health program. Group therapy sessions and activities for self-reflection encourage connection and understanding among participants, creating a community where you can share your journey and gain mutual support. We also emphasize nutrition's role in mental health, teaching you how to nourish the brain and improve mood through diet.
Spiritual Health
We believe that spiritual wellness is integral to overall health. Our spiritual wellness classes, which include practices like prayer, meditation, and gratitude, are designed to nourish your spirit. OHI Austin is part of the Free Sacred Trinity Church (FSTC), a non-denominational Christian organization, but we welcome people of all backgrounds. Our focus is on spirituality, allowing you to experience growth and healing within your own beliefs.
Through these sessions, you’ll find a space to connect with your inner self, renew your spiritual energy, and gain insight into practices that uplift your spirit. Whether your goal is detoxing, mental clarity, or spiritual connection, our Austin retreat provides the tools and guidance you need for personal transformation and lasting wellness.

From the staff, excellent program, and the wonderful grounds, OHI is where I go to reset and heal. The friends you make last a long time. This was my first time to the Austin campus. I had been to San Diego twice before. I think Austin is now my favorite. You can’t beat the walking paths. I really can’t say enough. THANK YOU Austin OHI. I had a lovely experience. ❤️❤️
